Minister - Holy, Holy, Holy, the Lord is in his Holy temple. PEOPLE - LET ALL THE PEOPLE BE SILENT BEFORE HIM. Minister - Let us listen for his voice. PEOPLE - LET US FEEL THE PRESENCE OF HIS SPIRIT. Minister - Let us open our hearts and souls. PEOPLE - LET US GIVE PRAISE AND HONOR AND GLORY TO OUR FATHER AND TO OUR GOD.
Hymn # 361 -- "How Firm a Foundation"
Unison prayer of confession: O God, We ask your pardon for all the times and ways that we have refused to honor your truth in our lives. Sometimes with good intentions, but often uncaringly, we invent hurtful, misguided judgments and declare them ordained by you. Give us grace to listen carefully to the spirit that has been sent to guide us. Give us the wisdom to rest our presumption against the truth that has been revealed by you. Let our hearts be open to the Spirit's leading. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord. Amen.
